Joel Spolsky Wrote in his blog how the Akamai IP Application Acceleration improved performance of Copilot. That’s interesting.
The idea is that Akamai must have some better trick to do IP routing. I think this has much to <> to their relation to global ISPs. After all they are the biggest content caching provider. They have a better position in negotiating prices and offerings than other network user, whether ordinary user or small-to-medium companies.
At least from this perspective everyone is not equal on the internet.
