Google Browser Sync download banned outside U.S.

Google has forbidden download of Google Browser Sync outside U.S. probably due to legal privacy concerns. It is well known that google had been asked to turn out user data to U.S. government. The download page simply do not work when pressing the 'agree and install' button. Directly downloading the .xpi brings up a 'This product is not available in your country' page.

But it is annoying if you cannot get this useful tool. The update function in Firefox will not get the newest version either.

Thanks to google's search, according to this page, [LINICKX].com » How to Get Google Browser Sync outside the USA, anonymizer is a viable way to hide your info and download.

In the 20060802 update the major change would be that synchronizing is done in background. So the lengthy update process do not block users from using the browser.

Update: Looks like Google re-opened again.
